Ensure your funeral is funded

When you preplan your funeral arrangements, there are more options when it comes to funding the funeral. At the time of death, services must be paid in full, so having options ahead of time can also reduce other stress related to losing someone. Some of your options are below.

  • Preneed Insurance Policy

Pre-Need Insurance Policies are tailored to  what you would like and locks in today's prices. Monthly Payments are determined on age and chosen length of payments. They do earn growth as you pay on it, and that growth helps pay for the increase in pricing throughout the years.

  • Final Expense Policy

A Final Expense Policy is similar to a whole life insurance policy. You are covered under a set amount, and pay a monthly amount to keep that coverage. It leaves a set amount for your family to use, and anything that isn't used for funeral expenses can be applied to other expenses that may be incurred later.

  • Life Insurance

You also have to option to get your own Life Insurance Policy from another company. That amount may, or may not, cover the final expenses. There is no gurantee also that the insurance company will pay the funeral home directly, which in most cases, will mean your family is paying out of pocket as the policy pay outs will be delayed by up to a few months.

  • Paid Up Preneed Policy

You also have the option to pay your prearrangement in full in one payment. This will lock in most of the pricing to todays prices, without the monthly payments.
