The last thing you, or your family, want to think about is how to pay for funeral services. We pride ourselves in offering and working with families.
The best way to ensure your family is taken care of is to take care of it yourself. Preplanning your funeral will make sure your wishes are followed and the funds are there to pay for them.
You have three options to preplan your funeral, each with their own pros and cons.
Meeting with us either in Person, or our Zoom, is the best way to preplan your funeral. We know what needs to be asked and can offer suggestions most people don't even think of. When you meet with us, we will collect the vital information we will need at the time of passing for the legal paperwork, discuss your options for disposition and the services available to you and your family, and craft a plan to pay for those services.
We will also bring to your attention the situations that may arise in the future with your plan personalized to you and your families needs.
For example, if you preplan your funeral through Moore's, and later on you transition into care at a nursing home requiring you to go on government health assistance (Medicaid), your plan, and the funds it contains, are exempt from the asset holding requirements of Medicaid.
Please call us at (513) 561-9580 or email us at preneed@moorefamilyfuneralhomes.com.
Our online Arrangement Guide is a self-service portal to arrangne and finance your service yourself. It goes over everything we would go thorugh in person and will guide you thorugh each decision. You can also go ahead and pay for your services through the same methods we would use in person.
Access the Arrangement Guide Here.
If at any point you have questions, Zach Moore can help. His email is zach@moorefamilyfuneralhomes.com or you can call/text him at (513) 815-5069.
With this tool, we will follow up via a phone call to confirm your plans after you have submitted them.
The last option to you is purchasing 3rd Party Life Insurance. This differs to 2 main ways from policies through Moore's.
1.) We cannot guarnatee we will take your policy. Your family may have to pay for services out of pocket and then get reimbursed by the insurance company rather than the insurance company paying us directly.
2.) The policy will need to be maintained throughout the remainder of its term. Beneficiaries will need changed, addresses updated, payments made. And if you go on Medicaid, the policy will need transferred to someone elses name for you to qualify.
We like to remind families that even though they have Life Insurance, not every company will pay to funeral homes, and as such they should consider this to be used for the other expenses they would incur rather than funeral expenses.
We do accept cash and check payments. We also offer a few other options that we consider cash payments.
Cash and Check Payments
At the time of need, we will accept cash and checks for payment of funeral services.
Cash Terms:
All 3rd Party Costs (Cash Advanced) are due before day of the first scheduled service.
This is the text area for a paragraph describing this service. You may want to give examples of the service and who may benefit. Describe the benefits and advantages of this group of services, explaining to users why they should choose your company.
We want to know your needs exactly so that we can provide the perfect solution. Let us know what you want and we’ll do our best to help.
