William Roland Wells, Sr.

William Roland Wells, 86, beloved Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather, and Brother, was called to his eternal resting place on December 9, 2022. He entered this world on April 25, 1936 in Cincinnati, OH, born to George and Margaret Wells. 

He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Alice Wells (nee Mara) of 55 years and his siblings Garnet (Del) VanHook, Gilda Wells, Jim (Dottie) Wells, Greg Wells, and Randy Wells. William is survived by his children William Wells, Jr., Vickie (Eric) Wright, Trisha Jones, and Amy (Rob) Runner. He is the cherished grandfather of Crystal (Michael) Crawford, Eric (Sienna) Wright, Tiffanie (Geoff) Howey, Jennifer Wright, Katlynn Wells, William Scott Wells, and Tyler Popham. Great-grandfather of Timothy Kidder, Ethan (Kiya) Crawford, Connor Crawford, Logan Crawford, McKenna Harrison, Isaac Wells, Eric Wright III, and Violet Wright. Great-Great-Grandfather of Memphis Crawford. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

William served in the Marines from 1954 - 1962 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was also a member of the Teamsters Local 100. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 19, 2022, from 6PM until 7PM funeral service at Moore Family Funeral Home, 225 Spring Street, Batavia. Interment will take place Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 9AM in Dayton National Cemetery.
