William L. Coplen, III (Bumpa/Wild Bill)

April 13, 1965 — October 9, 2024

A man bigger than life.

If you knew William, you can attest to this.

William lived a full and exciting life. Many of us were lucky enough to have the stories of his life shared with us. The stories he would tell!!!! He traveled the world; he dined with Kings; he protected our country with his service as an Army Ranger in the US Army; he loved his family and friends; and he rescued and protected dogs.

William loved his family, his friends and his RESCUE.

He lived a life of service to his family and his community. We cannot count the number of dogs he saved and the number of humans he impacted.

The Man, the Myth, the Legend.

William, who was born in Tacoma, Washington to William L Coplen, Jr. and Mary Katherine Krall, lived in Cincinnati, OH. He leaves behind his beloved Wife Margaret (Margie) of 34 years, his sons Ronald Joseph Laguna (San Francisco), Michael Anthony Laguna (VY Sok), and Renee Nichole Laguna, both of Cincinnati, as well as his grandchildren who were so dear to him: Kameron Maxwell Laguna-Gaffney, Micah William Sok-Laguna, Isabella Rose Sok Laguna, and Francesca Elaina Laguna.

William also leaves behind his legacy - All Dogs Come From Heaven Rescue (Amelia, OH). ADCFH was his life's mission.

We will honor his life on October 27 th at the All Dogs Come From Heaven Rescue located at 1894 St. Route 125, Amelia, OH from 1PM - 5PM. We invite everyone who knew and loved William or was impacted by his life of service to attend. We will tell stories, laugh, eat, and celebrate the life of this generous, brave, dedicated, and honorable man. We would also like to invite our adopters to bring your rescue pups. It would be a fitting tribute to William. Pallbearers are his sons, Ronald Joseph and Michael Anthony, his grandsons, Kameron Maxwell and Micah William, and his best friends, Kevin Feldman and Patrick Cahall. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to All Dogs Come From Heaven Rescue.

Living life 27 minutes at a time.
