Wanda Lee Boaz

Wanda L. Boaz, 70, retired from Thompson Learning, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Bethesda North Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Moore Family Funeral Home in Newtown, Ohio with Jack Kidwell officiating. Burial will follow in Pierce Township Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Monday, July 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Moore Family Funeral Home and after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Wanda was born in Mariemont, Ohio, raised in Newtown, Ohio as a child, graduated from Anderson High School and put herself through college to earn a bachelor’s degree in education from University of Cincinnati. She began working at the American Book Company in 1965 and stayed with the company through buyouts over 42 years. Wanda enjoyed her church, writing, history and spoiling her nieces and nephews. Wanda is survived by her brothers Jewell (Bonnie) Boaz of Cincinnati, Ohio, Edward (Ellen) Boaz of Milford, Ohio and Hal (Sandie) Boaz of Columbia, Tennessee; and nieces and nephews: John Boaz of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jennifer Boaz of Clarksville, Ohio, Brent Boaz of Milford, Ohio, Missy Mabry of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lisa Von Hagen of Clarksville, Tennessee and Bart Boaz of Columbia, Tennessee; and numerous great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jewell and Bertha Boaz; she was preceded in death by a nephew, Charles Boaz.
