Jane McSorley

Virginia "Jane" McSorley, age 83, joined her husband in heaven on November 28, 2024. Born January 26, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Charles and Virginia (nee Hilling) Mueller. Loving Wife of 43 years to the late James "Jim" McSorley (passed 2015). Beloved Mother of Katie (Brad) Deegan, Jim McSorley, and Laura (Brandon) Snow. Treasured Grandmother of Abby, Alex, Kristie, and Sara Deegan, Nathan McSorley, Emily Crum, Luke, Levi, Liam, and Lincoln Snow. Sister of John (Satoe) Mueller and Nancy (Jake) Grunkemeyer. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. 

Jane was a life long learner and educator. Her early years were spent learning music, including playing the clarinet, singing in choirs, and playing the bagpipes at Mt Healthy High School. She earned a BS in Biology from Ohio State University and a Masters in Education from Miami University. She then taught at many schools throughout Cincinnati, including Oak Hills High School, Great Oaks, the University of Cincinnati, as well as in Sunday school at Anderson Hills Christian Church. She was also a writer of many things, of which many would never know, but her family says was "prolific". On Sundays, she joined the congregation for worship at AHCC and would go home to watch whichever football team was playing that afternoon. 

A time for visitation will take place Monday, December 9th, 2024 from 9am to 11am at the Mariemont Community Church, 3908 Plainville Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45227. Service to follow at 11am. A luncheon will take place following the service and then we will be meeting independently at 2:15pm at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45231. Please follow their signs for the Family Gathering Area.
