BATAVIA - Thomas P. Moorehead, Age 82. Longtime resident of Batavia was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, November 21, 1939 to the late George and Frances (nee Mimter) Moorehead. Husband of 56 years to the love of his life the late Katherine Lansing Moorehead (2017). Loving father of Becky (Shawn) Richardson and Jennifer (William) Hendrickson. Dear brother of Joe (Gayle) Moorehead and the late Bill, Bob, and Dick Moorehead. Cherished Grandfather of Zachary Blevins and Derek Richardson. Uncle of Johnny (Cassie), Bryan (Lynn) and other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Tom was a 1958 Bethel High School Graduate and was a Star Basketball player. Tom worked 45 years for the Kroger Company as Grocery Manager of the Batavia and Cherry Grove locations. As the Batavia Kroger Grocery Manager he made countless deliveries to many elderly residents of Batavia, helped with burned victims of the Auxier gas explosion and gave his time and donations to the Batavia Local Schools & Athletics. He loved and adored his Grandsons Zach and Derek and attended every school and sporting event up to the time he could no longer attend due to his declining health. He was also a long time member of the Batavia Board of Public Affairs and received the Key to the Village of Batavia. All that knew Tom knew him as a silly, kind soul and a friend to all.
