Walter John "Sonny" Flach II

GEORGETOWN - Walter John "Sonny" Flach II, age 88, formerly of Newtown, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by the family he loved on December 5, 2024. Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Pamela Flach; his only remaining cousin Sarah Flach of Evansville, Indiana; his children Kim (Mark) Kilgore, Kay (Mike) Eldridge, Kristy Flach, and David Wocher; his grandchildren Angela (Mitch) Braden, Allison (Joshua) Hargrave, Sara (Matt) Davidson, and Matthew (Michelle) Kilgore; great-grandchildren Lilly, Mitchel, Elliot, Adelaide, and Leland, and nephew Aiden Rineair. In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by his son Walter John Flach III. 

Sonny will be remembered as an avid softball player, a game he loved and played until he was 80; his love for his family and for his many friends; and for his sense of humor. He was a retiree from the Ohio Operating Engineers and was a longtime member of the Masons and Shriners in which he was a member of the Marching Sheiks. 

Family will receive friends on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 10AM until 12PM funeral service at Moore Family Funeral Homes Newtown - 6708 Main Street, Newtown, Ohio 45244. Interment will follow at Flag Spring Cemetery - 3541 Round Bottom Road, Newtown, Ohio. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sonny's honor may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
