Russell L. Thornton

Russell (Lee) Thornton, 73, beloved Father, Brother, and Grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on January 7, 2021. He entered this world on August 31, 1947 in Cullman, AL, to the late Bryant Thornton and Elnora (nee Smith) Jenkins. Russell is preceded in death by 6 brothers: Franklin D. Thornton (his identical twin), Elbert Ray Thornton, Robert G. Thornton, Jerry W. Thornton, Harold D. Thornton, and Robert L. Jenkins Jr. He is survived by his children Lori, Mark, and Becky Thornton; his grandchildren Ian Crawford and Madison McPherson; two brothers Doug (Irene) Thornton and Bryant (Alice) Thornton. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Russell was cremated per his wishes. A memorial service will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday January 15, 2021 at Moore Family Funeral Home, 6708 Main Street, Newtown, OH 45244.
