Roy Vernon Babcock

BABCOCK Reverend Roy Vernon Jr., age 83, resident of Newtown. Beloved husband of Janet L. (nee Boyd) Babcock. Loving father of Christopher (Heather) Babcock of Westfield, IN, Verna Arnette of Cincinnati and Cindy (Glen) Arrowood of Oak Hill, OH. Grandfather of Amy Katherine Arnette, Anne Elisabeth Arnette, Alexander William Babcock, Benjamin Colt Arrowood, Lauren Elise Babcock and Allison Grace Arrowood. Vernon was a United Methodist minister for 45 years, attending seminary at Evangelical Theological Seminary in Naperville, IL., and was ordained in the Ohio Sandusky Conference of the Evangelical United Brethren Church in 1963. He served Ohio parishes in Findlay, McClure, Newark, Batavia, Wellston, Franklin and Locust Corner. Family will receive friends Saturday, February 10th from 9 AM until 11 AM service at Moore Family Funeral Home, 225 Spring St., Batavia. Interment will follow in Pierce Twp. Cemetery.
