Ronald J. Frey

FREY Ronald John Frey, of Anderson Township, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. Ronald is preceded in death by his beautiful wife Ruth L. (Casbar) Frey who he adored very much. Ronald was married to Ruth for 57 years. Ronald was born on March 5, 1935 to the late Anthony M. Frey and the late Evelyn (Bonner) Frey of Price Hill, and Delhi, Ohio. Ron is brother to Richard J. (Agnes) Frey of Delhi, Ohio. Ron is preceded in death by brother’s Anthony J. (Marion) Frey, and Leonard J. (Rita) Frey, of Cincinnati, Ohio. Ronald is father to Ronald, II (Kate) Frey, the late Rick Frey, Rudy (Erin) Frey, Renee Frey-Scheidler (John), as well as Robert (Terri) Frey. Ron has thirteen grandchildren, Ronald III (Shelley), Mary Kay, Robert (Elizabeth), Thomas, Kara, Eric, Jessica, Melissa and Joshua Frey as well as Rachel (Adam) Bridges, Christopher, Elizabeth (Stoney) Luttmer, and Kathryn Scheidler. Ron has four great-grandchildren – Matthew and Lily Frey, Ronald C. Frey, and Rosemary Bridges. Ronald attended Elder High School, class of 1953, and University of Cincinnati College of Engineering. He graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering, class of 1958. He worked for 35 years for Cincinnati Gas and Electric company at Beckjord Station and at the main office downtown. He retired in 1990. He was active at many Catholic parishes in the East side of Cincinnati, including St. Jerome, Guardian Angels, Immaculate Heart of Mary, St. Peters, and St. Thomas More.
