Robert I. Doggett, Born August 18th, 1932, died June 12th, 2018.
The son of Forrest and Marie Doggett, nee Kaiser, he is survived by a sister, Ellen Marie Rember, and brother, Frank and his loving wife of 59 years, Wanda Rose Doggett, nee Beach, 3 daughters, Ann Conroy (Paul), Barbara Kurnick, and Kate Goldsmith, 6 grandchildren, Emily Conroy Schmidt,(Henry) Ellen Rose Chadwick,(Miles) Kenneth Kurnick, Louis Kurnick, and William and Rachel Goldsmith, and great granddaughter, Margot Hawley Schmidt.
He interrupted his law school education, to serve 2 years in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as an aerial navigator both in Morocco and Greenland, being discharged honorably as a Captain.
He resumed his law education at the University of Cincinnati, where he was awarded the Order of the Coif, graduating in the top 10% of his class. He maintained a successful law practice in the City of Cincinnati the rest of his life.
He was a very active member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, where he served on the Commission of Adjudication. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where for many years he sang tenor in the choir.
He enjoyed Sunday dinners surrounded by his boisterous family, and was a life long animal lover, taking in a number of stray dogs that he loved dearly. He will be greatly missed by his family, who enjoyed his sense of humor and quick wit.
