Richard Earle Springer

August 15, 1948 — May 23, 2021

UNION TOWNSHIP - Richard Earle Springer, age 72, passed away surrounded by loved ones on May 23, 2021. He was born on August 15, 1948 to the late William and Evelyn (nee Daniels) Springer. Richard was the beloved father of Andrea (Mark) Mazdra and Samantha (Rick) Merman; devoted and loving partner of Amy Valle Fenker; proud grandfather of Dax, Carson, Sabrina, Vivien, and Luna a.k.a. "Little Squirts"; the dear brother of Steve (Mary Jo) Springer, Nancy Hagan, and the late Billy Springer; and treasured friend of many who were like family. Richard enjoyed drinking and taking walks on the beach in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, with his friends and family. One of his proudest moments was going to hear his daughters sing/perform and sharing this with all of his friends. Richard was voted most shy in his high school class but once he found his alter ego, Norton, all of that changed and the sky was the limit! He even found his own place on stage singing karaoke hits by Michael Buble and Roy Orbison. Richard will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or ASPCA. Private services will be held for the family. A celebration of life for Richard will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 4-7PM at the American Legion Post 72 located in Mt. Carmel, Ohio. 497B Old State Rte 74, Cincinnati, OH 45244. All are welcome to attend.
