Sergeant Richard "Dick" Corder passed away peacefully in his home on February 18, 2025. Dick was born in Norwood, Ohio. He is a 1963 graduate of Princeton High School and served in the US Air Force as part of the 763 rd Radar Squadron from 1964-1970. He proudly served his community as a Clermont County Corrections Officer and Sheriff's Deputy from 1987-2008. He loved his family and his country. He never failed to be the life of the party with his quick wit and humor.
He is survived by his daughters Debbie (James) Toles, Dee (Greg) Ready, Sherry (Bob) Nagel, Patty (Jonathan) Fong, stepdaughter Melissa Jesse as well as 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Diana Rothman, 4 nieces and nephews, and 8 great-nieces and nephews. He leaves behind his beloved dog and faithful companion, Lucky.
He is preceded in death by his wife Carol Corder, stepson Lonnie Self, his parents Richard and Frieda Corder and sister Sandy Corbin.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb 21st from 10:00 AM until time of Memorial Service 12:00 PM all at the Moore Family Funeral Homes, 225 Spring Street in Batavia.
In lieu of flowers, his family kindly requests a donation in his memory to the Deputy Bill Brewer 2055 foundation.
