Emblem

US NAVY VETERAN - Raymond C. Rose, age 98, joined his savior in heaven on September 26, 2024. Born January 19, 1926, to the late Hayden and Ora Rose (nee Bray). Loving Husband to the late Mary C. Rose. Devoted Father of Dan (the late Diana) Rose, Barb (Joe) Still, and the late Jeff (surviving Brenda) Rose. Beloved Grandfather to Amie, Adam, Keith, Christopher, Jessica, Joe Jr. (Katie), Caleb (Niki), Naaman, Naomi (Scott), Jeff, Samuel, and Caitlyn. Great-Grandfather of Maddie, Crystal (Adam), Karl, Rebekah (Brad), Laura, Rachel, Andrew, Benjamin, Lucas, Josiah, Gabriel, Hannah Faye, Gracie, Zane, Phoenix, Colt, Sophia, Victoria, Wyatt, Emmalynn, Alexzander, and Elias. Great-Great-Grandfather of Oliver. Cherished Brother of Iva (Dick), Florene (Harris), and 10 late brothers and sisters.

Raymond served in WWII at the end of the Pacific Theater. As a mechanic with the Navy, he would take that to Ford and work for them most of his life. His hands helped make a lot for Ford, and a lot for his family. The tinkering and machining never stopped for Ray, and he would take his grease covered hands home and suddenly his thumbs turned green. He had a garden he was always maintaining and growing, and with it, a 1950's tractor he kept running right for him with his skill. He'd share his skills with his family, and make sure they were always taken care of and knew how to take care of themselves with as much caring and humility that he knew. Ray followed the bible, and as practically a lifelong member of Crosspointe Baptist Church, he shared that with everyone he would come across.

A time for Visitation will take place Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 10AM to 12PM, at the Crosspointe Baptist Church, 4596 Bells Ln, Cincinnati, OH 45244. Service to follow at 12PM with Military Honors rounding out the day. A time for fellowship will be had at the church following the services, and Ray will be buried in Graceland Memorial Garden at that time under the care of Moore Family Funeral Homes.

In Lieu of Flowers, please consider making a donation to Crosspointe Baptist Church in Ray's name to help them continue God's work throughout Clermont County.
