Raymond H. Ramos, born February 27, 1939, passed away on Good Friday, April 3, 2015. He was seventy-six years old.
Ray was a man defined and empowered by the most important elements of life. He loved family and friends above all. He relished each minute spent with them, making memories that ranged from the Toot N Tell It in Williamsburg, Ohio to the Bavarian Alps in Germany. Ray also possessed an amazing work ethic as a stockbroker and financial advisor. His business acumen and engaging personality endeared him to clients and colleagues alike. Finally, Ray loved adventure. He was equally comfortable with risk and chance, with the possible and the probable. Truly it can be said that Ray embraced life and all it holds.
Ray's passing followed a long battle with cancer. Though death claimed him in the short term, his legacy will live on long into the future. He will continue to touch posterity through those who know him as well as through donations that can be made to the VA Medical Center/Volunteer Services, 3200 Vine Street, Cincinnati OH 45220, or the Society to Prevent Cruelty to Animals Cincinnati, 3949 Colerain Avenue, Cincinnati OH, 45223.
A strong and loving family surrounds Ray. He is preceded in death by his parents Lucille and Ernie as well as his brother Jerry. He is survived by siblings Ernie, Carmen, Ted, Elizabeth, and Joe, along with his former wife Carol and their children David, Kelly, Hala, Ray Jr, and Jerry. Fifteen grandchildren, fourteen nephews and nieces, and twenty great-grandchildren also survive him.
A memorial service and event will be held 4pm to 6pm, Saturday, April 18, 2015, at the Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 330 Gay Street, Williamsburg, Ohio 45176.
