Nettie Gertrude Thompson

Thompson (nee Sears), Nettie Gertrude “Gertie”, 85, was called home by Jesus our Lord and Savior on her Birthday, November 28, 2019. Nettie Gertrude was born on November 28, 1934 to the late Sylvester and Myrtle (nee Garrison) Sears in Mount Victory, KY. Beloved and Cherished wife of Oscar Darrell Thompson for over 65 glorious years. Loving and caring mother of sons Greg (Sabrina), Rich (Joanne) and daughter Tonia Thompson. Blessed Grandmother of Robin Michelle, Preston, Paige, Shelbi, Seth, Samantha, Simon, Larry, Michael, Evan and Twice Blessed with 8 Great-Grandchildren. Survived by youngest sister Geneva "Aunt Neene” and Sister-in-law Zula (Carrel). Preceded in death by 6 brothers; Vola, Omar, Curtis, Mearl, Carrel, Darrel and 2 sisters, Helena and Audrey and their spouses. Also survived by numerous Nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 1:00 pm. All at Moore Family Funeral Home, 225 Spring Street, Batavia, Ohio 45103. Interment immediately following at Greenberry Cemetery, 4918 Glancy Corner Marathon Road, Williamsburg, Ohio 45176
