Michael J. Voris

Judge Michael J. Voris was a dedicated family man, teacher, lawyer, and judge.  He passed away peacefully on September 24, 2023 in Anderson, OH.  He was born in Lancaster, OH on December 11, 1937 to his late parents Clyde A. and Ann (nee Radenbaugh) Voris.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Melinda Cowherd Voris (nee Hayse) in 2016. Loving father of Laurel Voris-Conran and James Jay Voris.  He is survived by his brother, Andrew Voris.  Cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous loving relatives and friends.  Judge Voris had many degrees and Diplomas from 1962 - Ohio University AB Degree; 1967 - Chase College of Law Northern Kentucky University Juris Doctorate; 1971 - University of Cincinnati Master of Arts in Teaching; 2001 - Academy of Judicial Education Diploma of Humanities & Judging.  He was a Judge for 24 years with the Clermont County Domestic Relations Court and he was best known for his program helping to get resolution for all the parties involved in divorce; especially the child custody cases and to do what was best for the children. A memorial service will be held at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 8101 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH, 45255 on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at 1:30 PM.  Donations may be made in his name to St. Timothy's Episcopal Church.  Moore Family Funeral Homes serving the Family.
