BATAVIA - Michael D. Owens, Sr., age 59, passed away on August 30, 2022. Michael was born on February 4, 1963 to the late Gerald Owens and Janiave Black (nee Murphy). Michael was the beloved husband of Debbie Owens (nee Roberts); devoted father of Michael (Jenny) Owens, Jr., Nicholas (Rachel) Owens, and Nicole Owens; cherished grandfather of Ethan, Cameren, Michael, Tyler, Grant, Carmen, Alexis, Emma, and Aubrey; dear brother of Kay (Mike) Pendleton, Anthony Owens, Jhaunna (Greg) Simpson, Gayle Emerson, Gerald (Vanessa) Owens, Connie (John) Russell, Patricia Owens Reid, Paulette Owens Pittman, Pamela Black, Teri Black and Tracy Black; and is survived by numerous aunts and uncles. Michael loved cars and motorcycles, was a 32nd Degree Mason with Hamer Lodge in Owensville, Ohio, and was a member of the Shriners, Eastern Star, Scottish Rite, and Widow's Sons. Friends and family may visit on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 10AM until 12PM funeral service at Moore Family Funeral Homes - 225 Spring Street, Batavia, Ohio 45103. Interment will follow at Batavia Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hamer Masonic Lodge in Owensville, Ohio
