BATAVIA - Mayme Faye Adkins (Faye to all of her friends and family), age 93, passed away on July 25, 2023. She was born on November 19, 1929, to the late Russell and Hannah Waltz in Morehead, Kentucky. Faye was the devoted wife of the late Carl Adkins; loving mother of Harold "Hap" (Jane) Adkins, Peggy (Dave) Kirk, Tammy (Steve) Wilson, Joy (Mike Brown) Carver and the late Gary Adkins. Cherished grandmother of 10 surviving grandchildren, great-grandmother of 22, and great-great grandmother of 2. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jamie Blary, and her son-in-law, Mike Hudson. Dear sister to Mary Egan and Wanda (George) Littleton; and numerous late brothers and sisters. Faye was an aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was also a proud member for many years of The Summerside First Church of God. If you asked Faye what she wanted to do, it was always spend time with her family. She was well known to many friends and relatives for her rendition of the Happy Birthday song. Friends and family are invited to gather at The Summerside First Church of God, 4704 Summerside Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45244, on Friday, August 4, 2023, for the visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service immediately following. Interment to follow at Batavia Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Anderson Nursing & Rehabilitation for contribution to the Activity Fund, Attention: Stevie Wagschal, 8139 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45255.
