Mark Salonus

Mark Thomas Salonus passed away on January 9th, 2025, at the age of 63, knowing he will forever be deeply loved. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward C. Salonus, and older brother, Edward Joseph Salonus. He is survived by his mother, Ruth Salonus, his brother Michael (Cindy) Salonus of Snellville, GA, as well as his Nephews Cameron Salonus, Jeremy (Cassie) Chapman, and Zackery Chapman, all of Snellville, GA. Mark was also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.

Mark grew up in Cincinnati, where he graduated from Turpin High School, class of 1979. He was on the swim team, and part of the 1978 swimming state championship team. He also attended the University of Cincinnati.

Mark focused his energy and efforts on his career. He was known for his exceptional customer service skills. Mark infused joy and humor while building and nurturing relationships throughout his life. He had an assuming way of showing others they were important and appreciated. Mark loved to bake. Every Christmas and birthday, family members would receive his famous chocolate chip cookies, and receipe he passed to his nephew Cameron.

While his time here was short, his smile will stay with us all forever.

A visitation and Mass will take place at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 8101 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45255, at a later date.
