Marie Wilson

Marie Wilson (nee Brock), entered the gates of Heaven June 17, 2023 in Batavia, Ohio at the age of 100. Wife of the late Laurence Wilson for 59 years. Loving mother of Betty "Jolene" (the late Harry "Butch") Tyson, Sheree (Dennis) Page, Gina (Charles "Eddie") Miller, Daren (Martha) Wilson and the late Larry Gene Wilson. Preceded in death by Lillian Brook, Hazel Barrie, Joseph Brock, Vincent Brock, Thomas Brock, Shirley Garris and Brenda Brock. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Dear family friend of Linda Shinkle.

Marie Wilson lived her life as a testament unto God. She had a positive outlook on life and never judged anyone. Marie loved her family and friends but more importantly above all she loved her Lord and Savior. She met her late Husband Laurence Wilson at Lockland Baptist church where they married. They attended Landmark Church in Evendale, Ohio for many decades raising all 5 of their children to attend as well. Marie worked at Strietmanns (now Keebler) and later worked at JC Penney Company in Milford, OH. She retired from there and because missing and loving her work family, returned there to work a few more years. Her love of life included many crafts such as crocheting, sewing, cooking, fitness, playing board games, putting puzzles together, playing games on her Ipad, connecting with family and friends on Facebook, playing the piano and the mandolin. She loved her many family members and always enjoyed catching up with them at her birthday celebrations treating each one as a milestone.

She was never afraid of challenges like learning to drive at 11 years of age and obtaining a Driver's License at age 13. Her interest in technology of all kinds she implemented into her daily routine. Marie's children have expressed they felt beyond blessed to have such a wonderful and loving mother for so many years.

She was their rock, confidant, best friend and compass to guide them and will be missed greatly.

Family will receive friends Wednesday 10 AM until time of service 11 AM at Landmark Church, 1600 Glendale Milford Road, Cincinnati, OH 45215. Graveside service following at Landmark Memorial Gardens.
