Louis R. Marino of Batavia, Ohio, passed at the age of 82 after illness. Louis worked for the US Postal Service in Dayton, Ohio for awhile, where he met his wife Gloria Chaney, to whom he was married for 56 wonderful years. After working for the post office, Louis worked for the water treatment plant in the city of Reading, Ohio, and then completed his career as a public servant at the Cincinnati Water Treatment plant. Louis loved animals of all sorts, having loved and cared for numerous cats, dogs, fish, rabbits, and guinea pigs over the course of his lifetime. Louis was a veteran of the US Army, having served in Japan in the early 1960's. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria, and is survived by his daughters Monica (Rob) Davis and Vicki (Michael) Lusk, as well as grandchildren Rebecca, Natalie, Ben, Noah, and Kaden; and great-grandchildren Aubrielle and Aria. No public services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to either the American Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, or to a worthy animal rescue or shelter.
