Walters, Lois J. (nee Trinkler) resident of Batavia, 05/08/17, age 84. Born December 14, 1932 in Cincinnati, Lois peacefully departed this world to join her late husband of 30 years, James F. Walters who passed after a long battle with Alzheimer's Dementia. She was the loving mother of James D "Jimmy" Walters, Thomas R. "Randy" Walters, Wendy L. Howard and Holly L. Lanham. Lois is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandchild. She will be fondly remembered for her strong, independent, compassionate, generous and humorous personality. The two most important passions in life were her family and her music. A graduate of Withrow High School, she was a member of the Withrow "Minstrels", and began voice training at a very young age. Her beautiful and strong voice was a delight to experience at weekly church services, wedding, local restaurants, funerals or in hospital rooms comforting a dying friend or a church member. She was a soprano/soloist with the Cincinnati Masonic Temple Choir for many years, and a long term member and elder of the Presbyterian Church of Batavia. She held long time careers as an Avon Representative, a Physician's assistant and family counselor for Planned Parenthood Association of Clermont County. She was an active member of The Order of the Eastern start, Ishtar Temple #54, Daughters of the Nile, and Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America. She will be sorely missed. Family will receive friends Saturday, May 13 at Moore Family Funeral Homes 225 Spring St. Batavia from 10 AM to 12 noon with an Order of Easter Star Service at 11:30 followed by a Celebration of Life service at noon. Interment Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Memorials may be directed in the name of Lois Walters to Shriner's Hospital of Cincinnati.
