Lloyd Earl Stettler, age 85, moved on to greater things on March 9th, 2025. Born March 7th, 1940 to the late Lloyd Everett and Alma Caroline (nee Moritz) Stettler. Husband to Susan Gaynell Stettler (nee Didday). Father of Allison Stettler and Robert Stettler. Grandfather of Max Hamilton, Sam Hamilton, and Eli Hamilton. Brother to the late John Stettler and also survived by John's wife, Pat Stettler, and several nieces and nephews.
Lloyd was most happy sitting outside with a Dr. Pepper in the sun thinking about his 1966 Pontiac GTO convertible. That seems a bit simple to some, but that's what he liked. Before starting a family with Susan, he went to Case Western Reserve and Indiana University for his Bachelors and Masters degree, and received his Doctorate at The University of Cincinnati. After school, he found himself working at NIOSH, and dedicating a lot of his time and energy to it. His coworkers would regularly call him the most dependable person on the team.
His mind was filled with music and miscellaneous knowledge. He never went to trivia nights to give everyone else a chance. "Do Wop" music was by far his favorite, and especially liked blues artists BB King and Howlin Wolf.
The last decade of his life, he was blessed to have spent it in Florida, playing golf and enjoying the warm weather. He was ecstatic to watch another Bengals Super Bowl appearance, and watch UC Football get a bigger spot in the national light.
