Linda Louise Bauer, 73, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side, Tuesday, August 8th, 2023.
Linda was born on December 31st, 1949 to parents, Clifford and Helen Vonderheide. She was the third oldest out of 12 children. Her siblings would describe her as very nurturing, even as a young child. Linda attended St. Louis Elementary, McNicholas High School, and went on to graduate from Clermont Northeastern High School in 1968.
Linda welcomed her first child, Jason Gennaccaro, in 1972. She went on to marry her husband, Carl Bauer, on September 28th, 1985. Through this union, she gained two step-daughters, Heather Haines and Vanessa Miller. On June 19th, 1990, she and Carl welcomed a child together, Mikaila Moore. Linda became a grandmother in 1994 and went on to have six grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
Those who knew Linda would describe her as loving, passionate, creative, and a source of strength. She enjoyed reading, gardening, nature, art and doing puzzles. She spent much of her free time creating beautiful quilts, many of which were displayed and included in local quilt shows. While she had many hobbies, her greatest passion was her family and spending quality time with those she loved.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother and father, her son Jason, and her grandson Sebastian Gennaccaro.
She is survived by her husband, Carl; her daughter, Mikaila (Kalie); her two step-daughters, Heather (Robert) and Vanessa (Danny); five grandchildren, Dimitrius Gennaccaro, Isabella Gennaccaro, Lydiana Moore, Chloe Moore and Adalyn Bauer; six step-grandchildren, Miceal Webster, Dylan Webster (Kelsey), Lesley Webster, Rebecca McNew (Jason), Kayla McCoon and Sierrah McCoon; her siblings, Virgina Zimmerman, Kenneth Vonderheide (Melissa), Martha Vonderheide, Priscilla Kramer (Jerry), Anita Schambach, Kurt Vonderheide (Maureen), Christina Frost (Robert), Paula Vonderheide, Konrad Vonderheide, Melissa Koutny (Gregory), and Kyle Vonderheide (Anne); and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Linda's life on Saturday, August 26th at 1:00PM at Day Heights Fireman's Memorial Building, 1313 OH-131, Day Heights, OH 45150. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, who was paramount in assisting Linda in her final days.
