Gibbs, Kenneth, resident of Batavia, passed peacefully February 2, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Harlan County, KY. on March 10, 1933 to Maynard and Elsie (nee Baynes) Gibbs. A devoted husband to the love of his life, Florence Gibbs (nee Tudor), for 67 years. Loving father of Connie, Duane (Sue) Gibbs, Lori Boswell, Brian (Lindsay) Gibbs, Missy McRoy and Eileen Sipple. Grandfather of Jeremy, Brandon, Jordan, DJ, Andrew, Nick, Kyle, Morgan, MaKenna, Cameron, Evan, Hope, Faith, Anna, Erin, Travis, Kayla and Abby. Great-grandfather of Emmett, Myles, Silas, Grayson, Hudson, Kenny, Gracie, Max, Logan, Noah, JoJo, Harper, Paxton and Teagan. Family will receive friends for a Visitation Wednesday from 5 PM until 8 PM at Moore Family Funeral Home, 225 Spring St, Batavia, 45103. A Funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 AM at the Batavia Funeral Home. Following the funeral service, the Southwest Ohio VFW Memorial Team Graveside service will be held at 11:15 AM at Batavia Union Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to VFW 3954, Box #1, Batavia, OH 45103. Kenny was a 65+ year member and Charter member of VFW 3954 and also a member of the American Legion Frank Weaver post. He was the OLDEST member of the Batavia Eagles. Kenny was one of the original volunteers, as well as being a long time volunteer of the Batavia Life Squad (circa 1960). He worked until retirement for Hoberg Distributing.
