We are saddened by the sudden loss of Kathryn Ann Reynolds, “Kathy,” on August 6, 2018. She was born on December 2, 1953, and lived over 50 years in New Philadelphia, Ohio, before she and her mother moved to the Cincinnati area. She was a special-needs lady who was living in a loving group home in Williamsburg, Ohio, near her sister. She was always excited to be a part of family dinners and outings with her sister, her niece and nephew, and her great-nieces and nephews. She loved family, music, spending time with her friends at her day program, and every animal that ever crossed her path! She was a cheerful, chatty, happy person. Someone once said, “If you’re having a bad day, just go visit Kathy for a while. She’ll cheer you up.” As a child, Kathy’s heart responded to Jesus’ love for her, and she prayed to invite Him into her life. On this past August 6, she enjoyed her time at her day program, appearing well and happy. But that evening, as she sat in her recliner, she simply stopped breathing, and was gone within minutes. We know she was instantly in heaven with her Savior, free within a new body and mind, and enjoying the best music ever! She no longer faces the challenges she had in this life! Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice J. and Martha M. (McNeely) Reynolds. She is survived by her sister Vicki (Reynolds) Clarke and brother-in-law Ron Clarke; her niece Gwyn (Clarke) Stout, Gwyn’s husband Gregg, and their children Ephram, Miya and Brayden; her nephew Chris Clarke, his wife Sarah, and their children Elijah and Cora. To celebrate Kathy’s life, a reception will be held at the Solomon Center, 133 N. 8th St, Williamsburg OH 45176 on Friday, August 31 from 3:30 pm until 5:00 pm. On SEPTEMBER 29, we will gather at 11:30 am for a graveside service at East Avenue Cemetery, New Philadelphia, Ohio, followed by a get-together at Tuscora Park (bring your own lunch). Please join us for one or both of these times to visit and remember Kathy. Donations in Kathy’s memory may be made to The Good Shepherd Ministry, a Sunday morning class that enriched her life for over 25 years. Make checks payable to First Baptist Church, designate Good Shepherd on the memo line, and mail to 878 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663. We thank the Moore Family Funeral Homes for their kindness and assistance at this time.
