Katherine Wellman

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP - Katherine "Katie" (nee Hornschemeier) Wellman, age 82, passed away on March 20, 2021. She was born on February 22, 1939 to the late Clarence and Mary (nee Meyer) Hornschemeier. She was the devoted wife of the late John "Jack" Edward Wellman; loving mother of Theresa (Dennis) Wheeler, Eddie (Linda) Wellman, Tony (Terri) Wellman, Kathy (Scott) Bitzer, Chris Wellman, Suzie (Mike) Kroeger, Mary Jo (Wade) Morey, Shirley (Jim) Cornetet, Tom (Kasi) Wellman, Mike (Julie) Wellman, and John (Amanda) Wellman; beloved grandmother of Ryan (Noreen), Lauren (Chris), Meta (Ryan), Charles, Carolyn (A.J.), Eric, Brian (Liz), Brett (Allison), C.J. (Shelby), Alex (Rian), Sarah (Brandon), Matthew, Ben, Jessica, Selena, Justin (Lindsay), Katelynn (Ayden), Jordan (Ben), Cody (Jessica), Cory (Emily), Jack, Grant, Andrew, Landon, Parker, Ava, Kate, and the late Morgan; dear great-grandmother of Quinn, Kennedy, Callen, Nash, Parker, Ashton, Teagan, Baby Costello, Baby Johnson, and Baby Emenhiser. Katherine was a lifelong member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church, and a long-time board member of SEM. Family will receive friends from 8:30AM-10AM on Friday, March 26, 2021 at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, a private mass will follow with interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The Mass will be live streamed at SJFChurch.org. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Katherine's name be made to the American Cancer Society.
