Joyce Marie Schneider (nee Lindenschmidt), 84, of Anderson Township, passed away peacefully on March 21, surrounded by her family.
Joyce was born in Madeira, Ohio. She graduated from Regina High School in 1954. Joyce married and spent much of her life living her dream of being a wife and mother. Joyce and her ex-husband volunteered endlessly in the late 1970’s & 80’s helping to form Anderson Township Park District and fundraise for Anderson’s first paramedic unit. She opened and started her own daycare business that she ran successfully for over twenty years. Joyce was elected leader of the local Red Hat Society and had many adventures with her good friends. She enjoyed sewing, baking, bird-watching and bowling in leagues for many years. Joyce watched and cheered for all the Cincinnati sport teams, especially the Reds. However, Joyce’s enduring passion was being a dedicated mother and grandmother. Family came first and was a value she instilled in all those around her. She had a servant’s heart, adored children, and shared her time and talents unselfishly.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Dorothy Lindenschmidt and ex-husband, John W. Schneider. She is survived by loving children Jacqueline (Brian) Ballitch, Jeffrey (Kim) Schneider, and Jill (Derek) Brown. Cherished grandchildren Jessica, Jackson, Amy, James, Scott, Avery and Abbey. Caring sister to late Dorothy (Bob, Ralph) Condon-Piening, Carol (Don) Metzger, and Sharon (Dan) Sellet.
