Johnny "John" Bernard Collins

AMELIA - Johnny "John" Bernard Collins passed away on December 20, 2022 at the age of 70. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Evelyn (nee Coore) Collins, mother Peggie (nee Koogler) Wyatt; sisters Merry (Mark) Spahr and Julia (Robert) Larsen; daughters Shelley (Harold) Scranton and Stephanie (Jon) Martinez; grandchildren Bryan and Meranda Nause, Devin Scranton, and Santi Martinez; and great-grandchildren Jahniyah and Zyaire Garland.
Johnny enjoyed his family, playing cards, had a quick wit, and honed his skills driving heavy equipment - including a landfill compactor, for which he won several national heavy equipment competitions. Over the last 8 years, Johnny showed his 1967 Mustang throughout the tristate area, often taking his mother, and won several awards along the way. Friends and family may visit on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 11AM until 12PM funeral service at Moore Family Funeral Home -  225 Spring Street, Batavia, Ohio, 45103. Interment will take place at a later date.
