With great sadness we announce the passing of John "Todd" O'Brien. Todd passed peacefully at home on March 23, 2025, at the age of 66.
Todd was born on December 2, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio to John & Jacquelyn (Kirtley) O'Brien. He grew up in Anderson Township, keeping his family on their toes with his zest for life and adventurous spirit while he attended Anderson High School and the University of Cincinnati. As an adult, Todd dedicated nearly 40 years to his career in the Printing Industry. He took great pride in his work and passing his skills to the next generation of printers.
Todd embodied the phrase "never met a stranger." He was unabashedly himself in any environment and had the innate ability to make others feel comfort in his presence.
He was known for his love of anything with a motor (especially Harley Davidson), music, and food. He was most himself riding his Harley on a nice day, seeing his favorite artists live, or standing behind the grill. Mostly he was just happy to live a simple and fulfilling life alongside his family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, John & Jacquelyn (Kirtley) O'Brien and is survived by his wife of 35 years, Rhonda (Seward) O'Brien, his children - his pride and joy- Allison O'Brien & Brittney (Kyle) O'Brien, his grandchildren Willow and Kase, his siblings Holly (Doug) Saunders, Heather (Lee) Krombholz, cousin & Godfather Roger Tarvin, many nieces and nephews and others who were lucky to call him family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Moore Family Funeral Home, 6708 Main Street, Newtown, OH from 4 - 7pm, with a short service at 6:30pm. All family and friends of Todd are welcome to come pay their respects and share their great memories of Todd throughout his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to "Keeping the Blues Alive Foundation" https://keepingthebluesalive.org/donate/.
