Jesse Colby Abner

Jesse Colby Abner, only child born to Anna (Ingram) and Colby Abner on February 11, 1927 in Cincinnati, OH. A proud WWII Navy veteran. Married Betty Lee Schiesz on August 28, 1948. Their only child, Cynthia Lee (“Cyd”) was born 9 years later. Betty passed away in December 1968. Seven months later, Jesse was in an automobile accident that broke his back. He was a senior accountant at Formica Corp. for 20 years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed traveling, especially to the Caribbean and owned property on St. Croix for many years. He loved coin collecting, guns and knives, playing the stock market, rum... and friends and family. He was sarcastic, feisty, outspoken and also trustworthy, loyal to a fault and much loved by many. In particular, his daughter, who will never be the same. Visitation: Tuesday 12/10/13 from 6 to 8pm with N C Harmony F & A M Lodge Masonic service at 7:30 at Moore Family Funeral Home, 6708 Main St., Newtown, OH 45244.
