Airforce Veteran. Riedel, Jay L. Sr., resident of Batavia, 11/19/2016, at the age of 83. Devoted husband of Carol (Hurt) for 3 years and the late Dorothy (nee Howell) for 54 years. Loving father of Jay Riedel, Jr., Reva ( John) Abell and Joyce (Ronald) Taggert. Grandfather of Shawn, Todd, Stephanie, Lori, Jason, (late) Billy and Becky. Great Grandfather of 7. Step father of Dan (Wauneda) Hurt and (late) Debbie Reynolds. Step Grandfather of Barbara, Blake, AJ, Landen, Shawn and Justin. Step Great Grandfather of 3. Dear brother of Carlene Jones. Son of Otis and Hester Riedel. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Saturday, November 26, 11 AM until time of service 1PM at Crosspointe Baptist Church, 4596 Bells Lane in Mt. Carmel, Ohio. Interment Batavia Union Cemetery.
