James Jay Bentley

BENTLEY James Jay age 79, Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grand father and friend to many passed away on June 26, 2014 surrounded by loved ones in Cincinnati, OH. Born in Carter County, KY on September 30, 1934, Jay served in the US Army 1955 – 1959. Jay retired from the NS Railroad in 1990 after 35 years of service. He leaves behind his best friend and wife Beulah Bentley, sons, Jeff Bentley and Steven (Julie)Bentley, granddaughter, Jessica (Guy) Franz, great grandson, Zak Franz and brother-in-law Don (Glenna) Morman as well as life-long friends Danny & Myrna Kerns, Red & Audrey Renner and Claude & Joann Smelser Smelser and Charlie Durden. Jay was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Mary (Wampler) Bentley, sister, Irene Bush, brother, Robert Bentley and brother, Joe Bentley. Family will receive friends Monday, June 30, 2014 from 10 AM until 12 Noon Service at the Crosspointe Baptist Church 4596 Bells Lane Cincinnati, Ohio 45244. Jay will be laid to rest at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH. Memorials are preferred to Jay's Church.
