HARRIS WRIGHT

Beloved family, friend and teacher to many. Mr. Wright has been a resident of the Village of Batavia since 1948. He was a teacher at Batavia High School for 32 years and a principal at Batavia for 7. After his retirement in 1987, Mr. Wright served as a school board member at Batavia. During his voluntary work for Clermont Mercy Hospital, he amassed 30,000 plus hours of volunteerism. Mr. Wright was also a very active member at the First Presbyterian Church of Batavia where he served as a Trustee and in 1991 wrote the history of the church. He was also an active member of Batavia Rotary and served on the scholarship committee for many years. He was also Citizen of the Year 2005 for the Village of Batavia.
