DEATON, GENE March 6, 2020 at the age of 86 years. Resident of Union Township. Devoted husband of 40 years to Deanna Deaton (née Steiger). Loving father of Linda (Gary) Yates, Debra Eddy, Rob Deaton, Jennifer Deaton and the late Gene V. “Johnny” Deaton. Step father of Lisa Snider and Kelly (Neil) Geoppinger. Brother of Ruth Ann Shields, Annie Nipper, and the late James Deaton, Helen Wells and Claude Deaton. Cherished Grandfather of Amanda, Micah, Jaime, Julie, Josh, Katie, Taylor, Becca, Megan, Jacob and Alexander. Great-grandfather of 11. Also survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Family will receive family and friends for a visitation Wednesday, March 11, 2020, 11 AM until time of service 12 Noon at Solid Rock Church - South, 3946 Hopper Hill Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45255 (513) 528-4566. Interment Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Gene was a dedicated church member for many years with Solid Rock Church - South and worked until retirement at Armco Steel in Middletown, Ohio.
