Douglas Leon Richmond

Douglas Leon Richmond, age 94, left this world on December 7, 2022. Born March 13, 1928 to Shelton and Catherine Richmond in Garrett, KY. Beloved husband of the late Laura Richmond and the late Elaine Richmond. Loving Father of Rodney Richmond, Mary Huckabee, Barbara Hall, and the late Douglas Richmond Jr.. Loving Step-Father to Sherry Hall, Tera Clark, and the late Robert Lane. Cherished Papaw of 12, and Great-Papaw to 22. Preceded in death by his siblings, Johnny, Robert, Waid, James, and Jerry Richmond, Frieda Schoenstein, Shirley Baehr, and Dolores Sanders.

Doug ran a Car Radiator repair shop with his son Rodney for many years. Prior to that, he was in the Army at the tail end of World War II as a power shovel operator. 

Family will receive friends Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 11am until 12:15pm, at Moore Family Funeral Home, 6708 Main St. Newtown, OH 45244. Funeral service will follow visitation, as well as procession to the grave site. Burial at Graceland Memorial Gardens, 5989 Deerfield Rd. Milford, OH 45150. Military Honors will be given at the graveside.
