David Spencer

David Spencer of New Richmond, Ohio, passed away after a long illness on February 24, 2024, at the age of 62. He was the owner of River City Scenic, Inc. of Cincinnati. The company is well-known for fabrication and installation of scenery for stage shows seen throughout the world on Royal Caribbean cruise ships. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music with a degree in Technical Theater Production and went on to work for the college and King's Productions.

His first involvement in theater came as part of the stage crew that designed and built the set for the play "Little Shop of Horrors" put on by Forest Park High School.

David was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1961, and is survived by his twin sister, Diane Schaiper of Fairfield, his brothers Jeffrey Spencer of Cincinnati, and Stephen Spencer of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and seven nephews and nieces.
