WWII NAVY VETERAN LEWIS, Charles " Charlie" Thurman Sr. Resident of Union Township, 10/21/17, at the age of 90. Father of Charles T. Jr. (Susan) Lewis, Ted A. Lewis, Bruce E. (Patti) Lewis, Jana L. Lewis and Amy R. (Chad) Beard. Brother of Calvin (Grace) Lewis, and the late Howard Lewis and Ruth Lewis Chilton. Grandfather of Jennifer, Amber, Melissa, Bobbie, Alexander, Troy and the late James. Great grandfather of 9 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday 11AM until Time of Celebration of Life service 12 Noon. Inurnment Tate Township Cemetery Bethel, Ohio. Charlie worked for many years in the HVAC service industry and his favorite hobby was raising and training horses for River Downs Race Track. He owned horses named Buckeye King and Miss Bubbleup to name a couple. He attended Batavia School District.
