Gipson, Charles Lee, born in Hazard, KY. Life long resident of Amelia, OH passed peacefully October 3, 2024, at the age of 88 at his residence. Loving husband and survived by his wife Clara (nee Allen) Gipson of Georgetown, OH. Preceded in death by his parents James and Martha Gipson (nee Williams), and preceded in death by his wife Ursula Gipson. Brother of William Gibson, Carvell Gibson, Dorthy Gipson, Mary Couch, Helen Baker, Julia Gibson, Arlie Gipson, Loretta Gibson, and Debbie Gibson. Dear Father of Mary Warden, Johnny Hensley, JoAnn Hensley, Cheryl McCarthy, Billy Ray Gipson, David Gipson, Jack Belcher, and the late Charles "Red" Gipson, Jr. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, many grand children and great grandchildren, that he loved very much. Family will join friends Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 11 AM with service at 12 noon at Moore Family Funeral Homes, 225 Spring St, Batavia, OH 45103. Interment Monroe Presbyterian Cemetery, 2821 St. Rt. 222, Bethel, OH 45106. Charles had many interests and hobbies including playing guitar, mowing grass, gardening, being a handyman and visiting those in hospitals. He was a pastor for over 50 years at Batavia Full Gospel Tabernacle. He retired as a welder from Littleford Day in Florence, KY and was proud to be the local union president.
