Catherine E. Hank (nee, Hutzel), known to most of her family as "Katie", "Grandma Katie" to one special granddaughter, and to many as" Kate", born June 15, 1954, died on February 26, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, stepdaughter Andrea, stepson Warren, parents Bernard and Patricia Hutzel, and sister The Honorable Judge Rachel A. Hutzel. She is survived by her stepdaughter Lorri Chokrach (Mike), stepson Brett, daughter-in law Beth, granddaughter Alexis Hank and siblings Bernard Hutzel (Sue), Peter Hutzel (Rita), Patrick Hutzel (Marcy), Ida Hutzel, Paul Hutzel (Adrienne), Marty Hutzel (Julie), Martha Hutzel (Bill Hayes), Carl Hutzel (Sharon), Margaret Hutzel (Dave Borowski), Matt Hutzel (Anne), Alice Hutzel, numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Katie was a loving and giving nurturer. She cared for her husband as his health declined, cared for her mother for many years until her death at 102 in July of 2024, cared for her younger siblings and for many dogs throughout her life, most recently, her loyal companion, Butterscotch, a Wheaton Terrier. An avid hiker, Katie had a deep connection to nature and the outdoors. She brought her love for the outdoors into her home with her green thumb and abundance of house plants thriving in every room. She had an amazing sense of humor and was known for her witty one-liners.
