Hurst, Carol (nee Payton) died peacefully at home August 7, 2017 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born October 21, 1936 in New Boston, Ohio. Beloved wife of James "Jimmy" Hurst on February 6, 1955. Loving mother of James "Ed" Hurst, Jr. of Cincinnati. Grandmother of the girl she always wished for: Abigail Hurst Williams who is stationed at San Diego Naval Base and Destroyer the SS Dewey. Also surviving is her brother Roger Payton of Mineral, Va. She was preceded in death by sisters Betty (Jack) Thompson and Linda (Don) Brown, brother David Payton and 3 infant siblings. Carol loved traveling. She had been in 46 of the continental states but the best was riding on The Orient Express from Venice to Paris. She was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy at Deer Park, Cincinnati where she was known and loved as "The Pie Lady". Family will receive friends followed by a service at The Church of God of Prophecy where Carol and Jimmy were married in 1955. The visitation will begin at 11 AM Friday, Aug. 11, 2017 followed by a 1 PM service at The Church of God of Prophecy, 201 Ohio Ave, New Boston, Ohio 45622.
