Beloved mother and grandmother Anne Kay Dooley (Nana) of Georgetown, OH passed away suddenly from a heart attack on January 12, 2022 at the age of 80. She was in a rehabilitation care home recovering from serious health complications due to a major hernia repair surgery.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband William Edward Dooley, her parents Noel and Mary Elizabeth (nee Kay) Hicks, her daughter Lisa Stears, her daughter Shelly Stears, her stepdaughter Christine Dooley, her stepson William Dooley and her brother Bucky Hicks.
Anne was survived by her Children Kimberly Bryson, Joseph Stears, Douglass (Kim) Stears, Trina (Ronald) Burdine, Mary (James) Houchin, Brian (Megan) Stears, her 15 grandchildren, her 12 great-grandchildren, her sister Judy Foster, her niece Noel Hicks and her great nephew.
Anne was born on January 11, 1942 in Beckley, West Virgina. After graduating from high school in 1960 her family relocated for her mothers teaching position to Cincinnati, Ohio. There she married William Edward Dooley in 1974 and they had 2 daughters. They remained together for the remainder of their lives and raised eight children. Anne was a devoted mother and grandmother who took pride in her family. She enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting. She lovingly crafted many beautiful afghans that she gave to family and friends. Anne offered unconditional love and support to her family and friends. Anne will be remembered as a genuine and compassionate woman who was willing to help anyone in need.
Services for Anne Dooley will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Batavia Union Cemetery. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM
