Angela Kay Mateer

On Friday, August 2, 2019 Angela Kay Mateer of Cincinnati, Ohio passed into rest with the Lord at the age of 80. She is survived by 3 children, 19 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and her loving sister Marie (late husband Bill) Willard. Angela was born on May 5, 1939 in West Virginia to William Schulte and Virginia Ellen (nee Robey). Before retiring, Angela was a nurse for many years at Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She was married on August 2, 1957 to the late John Mateer, Jr. from Belfast Ireland. They raised two sons, the late John Martin (surviving wife Cindy) Mateer and Robert James (Mary) Mateer and two daughters, Virginia (Glen) Campbell and Kathleen (Carl) Nielsen. Angela enjoyed reading and movies and playing bingo with her friends at Sem Villa. She was a lady with a quick wit and a love for the Lord - a faith that she passed onto her friends and family, a gift that each and every single one of us will be forever grateful for. Just as we will forever be grateful for that time that we got to spend with her. A memorial service will be held on Friday August 9, 2019 at One Way Church, 4650 OH 132, Batavia, Ohio 45103 from 5-7 p.m. We will receive visitors from 5-6 p.m. and the service will begin at 6 p.m.
