Alma Aicholtz Smith

SMITH Alma Mildred (nee Aicholz) Age 94, of Union Twp. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Elinor Aicholtz. She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. Survivors include daughter Susan (Earnest) Anderson, Brother Calvin (Dorothy) Aicholtz, Sister-In-Law of Mary Jo Oakwood, Cousin Ken (Lori) Kuntz; Grandmother of Monty (Melissa) Anderson, James Anderson and Brad (Natalie) Anderson; five great-granchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University and her Masters in Education from the University of Cincinnati. She was a former educator, librarian, and devoted her time to local history and genealogical research. Alma was a long time member of the Summerside United Methodist Church. She enjoyed dancing, Investment Club, and Writing for the Clermont County Historical Society. Memorials are preferred to the Clermont County Public Library. Family will receive friends 10 AM Wednesday, November 25, 2015 until 11 AM service at the Moore Family Funeral Home Batavia. Interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
